Elon, in all his great wisdom, decided you can’t read twitter unless you log into twitter Expand There’s a lot but here’s a few. 1.uzumaki will come out when it’s ready and production is going great. 2.he has no desire in toonami airing earlier or more often he believes the current time slot is perfect. 3.no plans to change the toonami packaging graphics. 4.slim chance of gundam witch from mercury being on toonami but he says maybe someday things will be different 5.he already knows what’s gonna replace naruto 6. Things between crunchyroll and toonami seem to change every six months. 7.if he Could pick one western franchise to make an anime for toonami he thinks mad max would be the best choice Edited May 7, 2024 by CountFrylock Quote
Toonamiguy321 Posted May 7, 2024 Posted May 7, 2024 Thanks, you are the real MVP. Funny answer for Uzumaki since I’m pretty sure he has made that exact same claim on it about 4 times now. If production was going great, it would have dropped years ago. No surprise about the timeslot, small surprise about the packaging since we have had this for over 2 years now. But, he did say when we got it that it probably wouldn’t change, so it is what it is. Not the kind of comment we wanna hear about CR while we are waiting for MHA. Not gonna be good if we can’t even get that. And if sequels are off the table, it goes without saying Witch or any other CR show is out. Good that they have an idea of what’s replacing Naruto. Bad if the answer is Boruto. Quote
CountFrylock Posted May 7, 2024 Posted May 7, 2024 Let’s stop pretending that time slot is anything but irrelevant after naruto concludes. Nobody’s gonna stay up that late for whatever it is Quote

That’s slot 4 of the block, it’s plenty relevant. Quote

I stand by that if it's not out this year, I'm assuming it's been written off Batgirl-style. Toonami remaining a three-hour block with the same graphics just makes me hope they get better shows in the future. It's a start with Ninja Kamui, though. The idea of Gundam: Witch from Mercury still being on the table is just copium at this point. And even if it was on the table, someone's pet cat would knock it off anyway. For Demarco's sake, I hope the Naruto replacement is something long-running that we don't know about. But I'm of sound mind to assume we're just getting a second DBZ Kai episode. Every six months? Looks like the only way to truly get a Crunchyroll project on Toonami is to go directly to the animation studio like with One Piece. The problem is not every anime studio has the notoriety of Toei Animation, if there's any that come close to begin with. On a more positive note to end on, a Mad Max anime could actually be great. 2 Quote
