I should probably do the same. But water goes through me like nothing else. The perils of getting old….and awkwardly truthful.

xD I can tell you that as a woman with all the different doctors we have to go to nothing is sacred anymore at my age xD

Well, I'm pretty much there myself, except there are doctors tailored to, well, you that I won't see because of certain physiological differences between us. (I'm trying to be tactful and polite so if I didn't come off that way, I'm sorry.)

No that's exactly what I was referring to xD

😄 Four days after my birthday this year I got a pretty little card in a purple envelope that had a floral design on it and I was like, "Wtf is this?" then I looked at the return address...it was my doctors office telling me it's time to start worrying about breast cancer 😆

Oh, no. 🤣 I'm surprised I haven't got a post card for my prostate exam. I am NOT looking forward to that.

Stimulating the male prostate can make you feel.. uh hum, things

Well yeah, I mean it's simulating what happens during intercourse :D of course it does...things.

Lmao but wait now!  Don't scare Gemini into thinking those things are going to happen during the exam, takes a little more than just a quick look around for those kinds of things to happen.  Ya'll should get them done to be safe.

I'm not scared. I'm just...not looking forward to it. (I need to schedule it sometime soon, actually. I just need to work up the courage to do so. That and a colonoscopy. Damn it! Why do I have to get old?)

True story: I HATED Rush until I heard “2112”. Funny how one song can change your entire perspective of a band.

Hey, as long as you gave them a chance, that's all that matters.

Oh! Speaking of "2112" (thanks for reminding me, T_a_o), Vela, you need to listen to "2112" sometime. I'll even send you the link of the particular video you should watch.

The live albums are soo good

I agree. Seeing them live was, for lack of a better word, epic! Still to this very day the single greatest concert I've ever been to.

atomic: I like Zappa, but Rush is my favorite.

Yeah. Still not a big fan of the synth-y (not sure if I’m wording that right) sounding songs, though.

No worries, I was corrupted by Franks perfection when I was like 5 so all other music sounds obsolete to me lmao kidding,

But Rush is awesome. RIP Neil

Eh, it's a matter of taste, I guess. Some prefer their earlier stuff, some prefer their prog-era synth stuff, while others prefer their '80s synth-heavy stuff, and others still probably prefer their stuff from, say, Roll the Bones all the way to Clockwork Angels. They have several eras, but they never compromised their musical integrity. They made the music they wanted to make, and if people listened and liked it as well, great. If not, that's okay. They were comfortable enough to say if people didn't like it, they could always go back to their normal lives. But because they did reach people in a way that most musicians didn't (building their fan base from the ground up through touring and word of mouth), they sold over 25 million copies of their studio albums. And each one of the three are (or in the case of Neil Peart, was, may he rest in peace) master technicians of their chosen instruments. And the fact it was just the three of them putting on virtually perfect reproductions of their music when they played live is even more mindblowing, especially the synth parts. So believe me when I say this: I will never, ever see a band like Rush again. Not in my lifetime, anyway.

I’m always telling Vela how much I like her posts. But you….from one man to another, this was simply beautiful.

I appreciate that, man. And it's true. Rush really is the single greatest band to ever exist, at least in my opinion. (The Who and Dream Theater are pretty darn close, though.)

Once again, no need to thank me. And FYI, Tool is that band for me. You know, since everybody asked and/or gives a crap. 😄

I like Tool as well, but I need to listen to them more often. (And for what it's worth, Danny Carey was highly influenced by Neil Peart's drumming. I can hear it every time I listen to "the Grudge", for example.)

IDK man, you would be surprised.

Things go in places, and other things quickly respond lmao

But do not worry. Vela is right, it is something that you should get checked for as ya get older!

Tool is good. I really like the first three albums or up to and including lateralus. 10,000 Days is good too. The latest one is good but I have not listened to it as much. I was always more in NIN more than tool back in the day when I was a bit of a goth teen.. lmao

Danny Carey and Neil Peart are the two greatest drummers to have ever lived. That may seem like a stretch, but no one will ever sway me from this opinion.
