Gemini sent me a link to a vid about if Spirited Away was an 8bit game.  When I saw the staircase in the vid I was like...it's time.  Can't even remember how long ago it was that I've seen it.

I have not watched Spirited Away in ages!

I have been rewatching DBZ the last several weeks but I am almost done with that. Was thinking about rewatching Inuyasha but not sure if I wanna commit myself to another rewatch that is hundreds of episodes haha

This makes me think about how I haven't seen Yashahime yet.  I made plans to watch it with the same person I watched Inuyasha with forever and a day ago but life happened and then I forgot.  Gotta get on that ::rubs hands together::

I watched Yashahime as it aired on Toonami so I think I am going to go back and rewatch Inuyasha and maybe Yashahime too!

Okay I will I will!  Or we will because they were waiting to watch it with me too.  It's gunna take some serious planning though.

Idk what kind of stuff you like but last week I watched Life with An Ordinary Guy who Reincarnated into a Total Fantasy Knockout and I thought it was really cute.  Idk, it's fresh on my mind I guess.  But I looked up the lyrics to the intro, the song's called Salary Man and given the subtleties and the main characters I can just imagine how much the creative team put themselves into it.  It's a fun escape from all the high school genres.  Only 12 ep, no sign of a season two, ah well.

I definitely like isekai, at least the good ones. Some of these LN's have gone a bit too far with the names though lmao I have not heard of this one in particular and actually had to look up the title because they are so far gone that I could not tell if the title was a joke or for real!

I will check it out!!

If there is no signs of a season two then you can still check out the source material if you are into that.

I actually meant to follow the title up with "(this is not a joke, but it's a screaming indication that it's a comedy.)"  When I first saw the title I was expecting low quality and even though the plot is predictable the way they present it is amusing.  And then there's the character dressed like Kirito...it's still cute though.

Lmao I had to drop for the last 20-30 minutes because the new Made in Abyss chapter just dropped at 10pm after over an 8 month wait. 

But yea, I am not as big of a LN fan compared to manga but I still love the anime. The titles are ridiculous sometimes. Apparently the LN and isekai market is so saturated that authors have to put a synopsis in the title just to catch the eye of readers. Maybe it looks prettier in its native Japanese but in English it looks so silly. Still tons of good isekai though!

I keep meaning to finish Cyberpunk: Edgerunners before I play Cyberpunk 2077, but as Vela said in her posts, life keeps getting in the way. I swear I'm going to finish it one day.

Edgerunners should be fairly easy for you. It is only like 10 episodes or so. 

I have never played the game (I sadly quit video games about ten years ago because school was getting so serious haha just never got back into them after) and the anime was still totally concise and understandable. 

I went in with low expectation and was pretty blown away by it. Definitely in my top 5 anime of last year.

I just started watching Life Lessons with Uramichi Oniisan today. 13 ep, I'm halfway through.  A few good laugh out loud moments.  And the cast is impressive (sub not dub).  I'm perceiving it as a goofy commentary on how we put mental health on the backburner.

I prefer manga to LN as well.  It transfers over to the anime I watch too, I'll watch something because I like the style even if the content is subpar.  Just love the visuals.  

So wait, you're reading it?  I heard it was a decent read, I hope that's true ^_^

It is on Mangadex, though I am only a few chapters in! 

I will have to check out Life Lessons too. I will admit that I have been slacking on manga and anime a bit lately lmao

😅 For most non essential things I would say to not do them if they're a chore.  But I get wanting to watch it before playing the game.  I binge stuff constantly so I couldn't even recall how many ep there were...it was more like a movie that I watched in one sitting 😄 Having the skip intro/outro feature helps.  I always watch them once in the first ep and then again in the last ep.  If I remember correctly there's not progression or alts in the intro/outro so they're safe to skip, even though the song is "ffire".

I'm not saying watching it is a chore, per se. I'm admitting to being pulled in so many directions that it may feel like watching it is a chore even though it's not.

Grammar aside I think this is the one time the anime explains Jinguji's outlook better.  It's confusing in the first chapter, makes it seem like from the very start of things he prefers men in all aspects when really he can't stand putting up with women's bs and is convinced there isn't a single woman who's trustworthy, genuine or worth giving any of his time to.  His best friend is the only one he considers virtuous.  I just feel like that's a key factor as far as progression goes.

xD  I really love it to, I'm so glad I'm reading it now.  Except I can't help think to myself "since when is demisexual a fetish?!" xD  as that's my take on this so far.

I have not watched the anime yet, but even during the first few pages Jinguji explains rather well his distrust of women. After Tachibana becomes a 'western loli' Jinguji seems very concerned about falling in love with him lmao 

I am really liking it so far!

I guess anything can be a fetish these days, but I figure demisexuality is not as normal in today's times? Haha IDK maybe Tsurusaki just means the gender bending aspect. Love it either way!

I always interpreted it as when someone does not feel immediate sexual feelings towards another, but rather only after they have formed a strong emotional bond or feelings for that person. But I will be the first to admit that I am not as knowledgeable on these topics!

I'd say that if you're attracted chiefly to personalities then you'd likely not be attracted to someone until you know them/their personality.

This basically describes me I guess. 

I really have to know someone, and what is in their head, before I feel attracted to them. Like to the point where we can almost read each others minds. But for me personally I think it comes down to people being less authentic these days.

Doesn't sound the least bit weird to me.    Just sounds like your brand of a built in screening process.  We all have some form of those, things that feed our our hypothalamus and light up our hippocampus whether negative or positive.
