Distinct Lunatic
Just found out about an hour ago when I came into work. Technically he wasn't a full time employee yet, but he was someone that had the most chance of getting in soon. He was in his early fifties and a good dude, harder worker than most of the hired people that we have. Apparently what happened is yesterday he was outside cutting his grass when he randomly felt very tired so he went inside and lied down on his couch and didn't get back up. I wasn't close to the guy but with how that came out of nowhere can't help but linger on it.

Distinct Lunatic
His family is pretty pissed with us, and I can't blame them. Apparently for most of the last year he's been working 16 hour shifts Monday through Friday, 8 hours with one job and 8 hours with us. If he got hired back in July he'd have been able to leave the other and stop working 16 hours each day. And apparently he rents out a couple houses so on the weekends he has that stuff to manage, so it sounds like he worked himself to death. I remember every time I saw him he always looked so tired, and also mentally exhausted. He got passed over by 4 newcomers that all knew someone. tsar4
The sudden deaths always seem to cause more self-reflection in the survivors than those you see coming via prolonged illness or bad habits.

Some years back there was this one guy a friend of mine worked with at Walmart, my friend is a cart pusher and the guy worked somewhere else in the store, and apparently he was a really nice guy, whenever my friend would go to lunch and they didn't have any others working the guy would always volunteer to go outside and cover for him. Years back it was a case where he was talking to the guy one day, just normal conversations, and then apparently that night him his wife and their kids died in a house fire.
