Jman
https://www.crunchyroll.com/anime-news/2020/06/10/the-promised-neverland-live-action-adaptation-reportedly-ready-to-break-out-at-amazon?utm_source=community_cr&utm_medium=twitter&utm_campaign=news&referrer=community_cr_twitter_news Amazon was positioning itself as a bit higher brow than Netflix, so for them to jump into the live action anime pool is confusing. Hulu’s going to make a LA Outlaw Star, aren’t they?

Jman
I get it, sort of. All the good Western comics have been adapted to film and television and all that’s left is edgelord crap, SJW crap, or a combination of the two. So writers go East for licenses, even though the success to failure ratio is insanely skewed in the latter direction.
3ngag3
Quote Rodney Rothman (Spider-Man: Into The Spiderverse) is directing the adaptation, and Meghan Malloy (Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse) is writing the pilot. Sounds promising! Quote Rothman is an executive producer with Masi Oka (Heroes, Netflix's live-action Death Note film, Hollywood Attack on Titan film) Never mind. mochi
if they use an all asian cast like the Live action Naruto says it's doing I'll be very confused since the orphens are clearly all different races >_>
The1gairon
Did you notice that anytime Japan making an anime into a live-action movie, it's based on a story where all the characters are multiple races? ... Japan is like the least diverse country in the world. Why the hell can't they just adapt an anime that takes place IN Japan with only Japanese?!
