Swimmod_Luna
If you don't meet minimum productivity for the day, you can't get paid for your full 8 hours (unless you use PTO). They are lowering minimum expectations a bit, but still. Good thing I always meet my minimum <_<
Sawdamizer
Not sure that is legal. You're paid on your attendance to work. Productivity is different. Like, we legally have to pay a colleague to travel to a location outside of their normal commute... they ain't doing shit but driving.
Sawdamizer
Any company trying to get edgy with HR actions is gonna get there shit pushed in after all this is done.

I guess they don't want people sitting around all day doing nothing and still getting paid. Idk I'm not really worried about it it's super easy to get 4 hours a day even working from home which is all they're asking for.

I mean, they can fire you for nothing... but they cant just not pay you based on their expectations of remote productivity. Idk... good on you that it wont impact you but that's some bullshit... also, this is the company that was splitting hairs on the monthly incentive by like a deviation of less than 1%? And it was wrong?

And it was wrong? It's probably just to make sure people aren't putting 9-5 on their timesheet every day then not even making an effort to call anybody and just saying "No one answered the phone not my fault lol" but you're right that would be a totally separate issue and they shouldn't be treating those people the same as someone that really is making an effort and just not hitting their target. Bruh I can just put the phone on speaker and mute the TV and go fishing in Animal Crossing WHILE I'm working. I can even mute my laptop and put a training video on my laptop while I'm doing all that, too so I'm getting even MORE shit done. Not to mention I enter all phone calls as at least 25 minutes even if it's just "hey how are you? Good? Need anything from us right now? No? OK talk to you later bye" and enter an even longer note if we actually talk about anything even if it's only a 10 minute phone call. I'm pretty sure literally everyone does this on my team at least and most people in other programs across the agency do, too...In the past 2 weeks I have done less actual work than I ever have in this job but I'm still going to get the highest level bonus this month I am working so hard you guys, you don't even know...
Codename: Jackass
I respect someone who knows how to juke the stats. "Work smarter, not harder" was the favorite refrain in the scene shop back in the day.

They keep telling us to use Facetime or this other program they trained us on so we can do "virtual face-to-face" or whatever. That's all well and good for most people at the agency but I'd say like 95% of the clients I work with don't have the technology required to use those things or even if they do would need someone to hold their hand through the entire process of getting it all set up at which point why even bother. If we were totally 100% honest with our time right now on my team we'd probably all have to call all 100 clients we have on our caseload every single day to hit minimum. We're also all still doing some face-to-face stuff even though it's only supposed to be for "emergencies" that you do face-to-face but our clients have higher needs than most so some of them have no other way to get food, meds, rides to medical appointments, etc.
Codename: Jackass
I kinda figured WFH in a very hands-on profession would be a clusterfuck at best. But hey, more time to farm sorghum. Btw can I get a ride to the CVS?
