1938_Packard Posted February 24, 2017 Posted February 24, 2017 "Round Table" meeting scheduled at work today. It's supposed to be an open forum conference between the department manager, the shop stewards and the front line workers. This is the first such meeting in over a year. The last few I've attended were very much top down, as in, "THIS is how things are going to BE... because I'M the BOSS and I SAID so!" Shop stewards, workers and even some lower level supervisors tried to voice objections to a few points and were met with a brick wall. Not very round, was it? Well that old department head has been gone for more than a year and the current one seems to be a lot more reasonable in practice. I take it this conference is going to be more rounded and thus way more productive.
