mochi
my mother was rushed to the ER last night due to having a bad fall and is still awaiting a proper admission to a room in the hospital, meanwhile my PC has now died so until I can somehow get a new one I am going to have to rely on borrowing someone else's to chat with you guys, sorry about all this, i will get a new PC as soon as possible and hopefully be able to recover my files from the old one (as I did make a back up in september and saved some of my more recent files elsewhere)
The1gairon
You take a break from the block if you need to. We'll understand.
Daos
What died on it? It's pretty rare that the hard drive would be the thing that died, there's no reason you shouldn't be able to get all your files off it.
ben0119
That's unfortunate. My thoughts go out to you and your family. My grandmother is in the hospital right now recovering from a foot infection caused by a spider bite. Moved from hospital to rehab facility today. Money getting shorter by the day. My PC is so full of stuff it's laggy as heck. Cleaning it right now! No more USB drives so I am moving videos to Youtube and privating the ones I deem unworthy to be on my channel. Going to see if I still have some empty CDRs and DVD-Rs too.

DangerMouse
My thoughts are with you, buddy. What happened to your PC that it went all of a sudden? Good job on remembering to back up last month, I should be doing that more often too! If the hard drive wasn't what did your old PC in, you might even be able to just hook it up to one of those pretty cheap USB enclosures to copy the couple of things you might still need to get off, once you get a new one. Daos
Could just be a bad power supply? They can quit now and then. Take it to an actual shop and have them give you an estimate maybe?
