change your dns to 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1 as secondary

thank me later

it wont work for everyone, probably most of you it will work, but those of you with google fiber or w.e - no.

i actually can confirm this is working

essentially you are using cloudflare's dns

this isn't going to skyrocket your download speeds, but it may make things more consistent and definitely your data is way more secure.

@KN did you see this shit?

https://1.1.1.1/

here's the actual website and real information on what this is all about.

This is compatible with nearly all devices from macs, pcs, and even androids and iphones i believe.

It doesn't make your internet faster. That's not how DNS works.

It can make the initial lookup of a domain happen some milliseconds faster.

The real appeal is privacy - it can help hide what sites you visit from your ISP.

You've been able to do this through google's DNS - 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 for a decade.

Yea i like the privacy.

when i said it work i was agreed with linus stating that switching through tabs and sometimes switching through yt videos feels way snappier.

but mostly i dont see any speed increases, just the privacy aspect.

idk.

maybe its actually a little more stable.

my ping in league went down 1. barely.

I like my ISP to see what I'm looking at.

I see it as a tasty power move for someone to know that I know that they know what I'm charging my j/o crystal to.
