And I can't remember what I quoted as what I spent but I got the niecelette a sketch spiral notebook, a leather-bound notebook and one of those sketching sets in a wooden carry case for like $30 or so with sales and a coupon.

Nurture that habit...I went that route in school...it was a lot of fun if you have schools in your district that have awesome art electives...like I took a pottery and sculpture class in high school...still have that shit too... Her art teacher pushed her to draw things instead of tracing and i thought itd take her years to draw freehand but shes doing it now already at 8 years old. cant wait to see how awesome she'll be in 5 or 10 years.
