PurgatoryGirl
Who has ever seen this film from 1978? I have heard about it, since childhood only because my youngest aunt was traumatized by this movie. I wanted someone to buy me a ventriloquist doll as a birthday present years ago. Mostly because of my aunt's fear of Magic, my mother wouldn't allow me to have a ventriloquist doll. After finally seeing this trailer for the movie a few minutes ago, I can see why some are scared of ventriloquist dolls. The doll is so hideous, it adds to the horror
PhilosipherStoned
Guess this movie must of been the inspiration for R.L. Stines Slappy dummy story. I havent seen this movie, but that Goosebumps tale was enough to make me creeped out by those dolls as a child so I imagine it's a hair-raising tale.. PhilosipherStoned
I can't even remember the title or half of the story, but that doll is like R.L Stines logo when he's mentioned in writers circles so you know it's creepy af.
PurgatoryGirl
Night Of The Living Dummy was published in 1993. I was 11 back then when I ordered it from the Scholastic newspaper, that schools used to have.
