PoPo is pretty damn good to be able to keep up with them like this! You just wasted all that food Trunk! That's the toughest of tough love on poor Goten and Trunks, even if it's needed. Toriyama probably wanted Gohan dead to give Goten a boost of motivation for mastering the fusion technique with kid trunks and to add more drama to the over aching story.who knows?
