in a nutshell it turns out the gay dating sim the gamegrumps were promoting was secretly a homophobic horror fantasy game instead, the ending was believed to have been removed, but a patch today added all the missing content for the ending in meaning it is canon after all and is scheduled for a full release very soon

 

the question is just when the dev team is going to patch in the finalized trigger for the ending and make it playable in normal copies of the game

in other news some background art of the cult dungeon was leaked

 

 

it seems to possibly be for the 8th dad's route, since it's the cult ending's dungeon...but bright and sunny

 

which...I assume means it's for a scene establishing that the threat of the cult is now neutralized

some people are claiming that a new update totally removed all of the cult ending's assets from at least one version of the game

 

 

whether that means they're cutting it entirely or just retooling it slightly I'm not sure but

 

it lends credibility to the earlier largely discredited theory that it was something they didn't plan to be in the vanilla game
