    Magic communicators! It seemed like this backstory was purposefully withheld before so we wouldn't know that Vangeance was a good person and just assume he was another noble asshole. It would also make us more likely to think he's Licht. Knowing his background and seeing these two eps, in retrospect him picking Yuno makes a lot of sense now.
