    That establishing shot of the crazy architecture reminds me of how this show has really underutilized it. Though we are just now having scenes in the school again this season. Maybe we will see it used more soon.

    Also this crazy hallway training, whatever it is, wasn't in the manga, either. The story is definitely being expanded, and for the better, in the Thousand Year Blood War anime. But I don't know how much was stuff Kubo always wanted to put in the story and couldn't, and how much of it he came up with after the fact.

    The Soul Reapers are having to get creative and inventive without their Bankais. Good team work by Toshiro and Rangiku. I don't speak French! But I guess Kubo finally got French into the series without having to invent a whole other faction.

    That's an interesting detail there. I don't recall any other animes drawing kids with missing teeth (baby teeth to adult teeth stage.) Well I'm presuming this was the ghost as she was alive. This probably won't end well. There it is. Yakuza? People mentioned Bleach before. This reminds me of how the hollows weren't evil in life, and only became that way after they turned into Hollows, except for that serial killer Hollow that got sent to Hell after he was defeated, because he committed sins when he was still a human with a sense of reason.
