Eh? Naruto got worse way earlier than that. End of Part 1 when you realize bringing back Sasuke's dumbass is going to take the whole rest of the series and be one of the end goals. Made worse by the fact Sasuke was never sympathetic and Naruto and Sasuke's friendship was poorly built up and not believable. In my mind Black Clover was better than that even early on since Asta and Yuno's relationship as best friends, brothers, and rivals is pulled off much better in the first few episodes than the entire run of Naruto/Shippuden. It has only improved since then and has been one of my favorite shows and one of them I look forward to the most every week.
