  1. No, Burn the Witch takes place in London and features the Western Branch. Bleach featured the Eastern Branch. I don't know if each branch takes care of the entire Eastern and Western Hemispheres and the 2 series just happen to focus on England and Japan, or if there are other branches in other parts of the world. I don't know how you got that there's an American Branch spin-off happening from the video or what I said.
  2. Man, they are really milking a ton of filler out of these Seven Ninja Swordsmen!
  3. I haven't noticed that happening yet. I saw that this picture didn't work on my phone after it worked on the PC. But maybe it will stop working on the original device eventually too. We should try asking the site runners about this, though I dont know if they'd have the answer either.
  4. There's also coronavirus speakeasies and people trying to have giant private parties. Which the authorities are trying to clamp down on. Idiots! https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/mar/18/fears-lockdown-parties-will-increase-global-spread-of-coronavirus
  5. lmao people are saying there's going to be a corona baby boom because of this.
  6. I suppose it works for who posted it, but not for anyone else. I also noticed when I looked on a different device that it wasn't working. I posted it on my computer, but when I looked on my phone, it was broken. I guess we are going to have to do a process of elimination of all the sites that don't allow hotlinking. The funny thing is, if I had just linked from the Reddit post with the imgur link where I first found it, instead of going to the artist's pxiv page that someone linked in the comments, it would have worked.
  7. Great, now I have been stricken with the affliction! Try it now. And what is this deal with sites not allowing hotlinking lately? I thought that was a relic of the old internet days. It's not like websites are operating off of AOL bandwidth these days!
  8. Is this the picture you were trying to post? The error page from that site you linked says it doesn't allow hotlinking. You have terrible luck posting pics!
  9. I never knew they were even still around. Gotta' say I never thought they were funny so I don't know what all the hubbub was about.
  10. He gives off a different vibe there. Uh, does Chris Hansen need to be called?
  11. I loved the comments under the promo video. Waifu Wars! Clash of the Maidens! ROFL, I just found this -
  12. He doesn't look like Licht at all to me. I thought the stone was because he was originally of noble birth, but now I don't know what to think.
  13. Officials have already said that that increase is due to a backlog of tests, not just more people getting it.
  14. Funimation said they are pausing them while they readjust things for people to be able to work from home. So there will be delays, but they are going to back to working on them as soon as possible. Black Clover has a ways to go before it catches up. I hope they don't take off MHA and bring those episodes back when the next season comes. They should only take it off as long as necessary. Just put something else in that slot until then, even if it has to mean temporarily losing a slot.
  15. It looks like War of Underworld Part 2 will arrive ON SCHEDULE. I'm guessing it's already "in the can?" https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2020-03-19/crunchyroll-funimation-hidive-hulu-stream-sword-art-online-alicization-war-of-underworld-anime-2nd-part-on-april-25/.157701
  16. https://books.google.com/books?id=NPyPDwAAQBAJ&pg=PT18&lpg=PT18&dq=Sword+Art+Online+black+iums&source=bl&ots=q0R6FgfG-h&sig=ACfU3U0VAlR9QTPshikGVKjTE8k_z6iu_Q&hl=en&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwi07v-up6voAhWLbs0KHc6tAOgQ6AEwGnoECAgQAQ#v=onepage&q=Sword Art Online black iums&f=false Well what do you know, you were actually right. Also it looks like the books go into more detail than the anime does. But I don't think this term has a listing on the SAO wiki haha. Maybe that is only what they're called in the books? Either way, I wouldn't call all of those characters black, since they don't look black. There is already an actual black guy from the show that looks normal and has normal skin tone for a black guy, and the Dark Territory characters don't look like him.
  17. See, when you talk like that it's hard to take you seriously. There are serious cases of discrimination and not serious ones, and others are unfounded completely. Either way, stuff we see in anime is not what I would consider serious cases. There needs to be priorities. Did you not watch the arc before this? The place where the white people live is horrible too, or was, when Administrator was ruling it. I don't agree on that. Sure some of the characters could have been utilized better, but you could say that for anyone. Plenty of the girls have had a lot to do and were used well. Of course there have been bad moments, but again, that's for anybody. I think probably the main problem is the Fairy Dance Arc specifically. Outside of that, it is not too bad. Okay, so what characters were supposedly queercoded. Also, it seems hypocritical of you say such characters are "queercoded" because they have stereotypical gay characteristics. You don't want stereotypes, but you are going to assume a character is gay or "queercoded" because they act like a stereotype, even though they may not be, and that may not be the intention. So you aren't even following what you claim to stand for. It really sounds like you just want an excuse to complain, because this is a major example of reaching and moving the goal posts. Well then I guess you're just as wrong as he is. Most people on the boards do not take Mochi seriously because he is constantly complaining about stuff that's not warranted. Other LGBT users have also called him out on his nonsense and endless need to bitch. I mean there have been times when such complaints have had merit. If someone said that Leeron from Gurrenn Lagann was an offensive portrayal of a gay person, that would be hard to argue against. And the character would probably get a much worse response if the show came out now, especially with Steve Blum doing the stereotypical voice. But when supposedly every last little thing is somehow offensive, I can't take that seriously. And yes, listen to what Daos said. This is anime. It's made in Japan. What exactly are you expecting here? Japan is one of the most ignorant countries out there. I remember when people used to say that anime was so progressive. And I'm like... how? Because of Ranma 1/2 and Sailor Moon? Or maybe it was because anime back then was more progressive than the American entertainment available back then? I don't know. Even still, complaining about it won't do you much good, because again, Japanese people and the various entertainment creators there can be pretty ignorant, and aren't likely to listen to or care what American or Western fans have to say. Though, funny enough, Reki has heard those complaints and has promised to do better. Which is a lot more than you get from most Japanese authors. https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/interest/2019-01-21/sword-art-online-author-reki-kawahara-says-female-characters-should-not-be-treated-as-trophies/.142337
  18. Damn, how did I screw that up? I checked both threads too lol. I got the Black Clover one right but managed to mess up this one. Fixed now lol.
  19. I just found this video. I was pleasantly surprised it has a translator. The stream actually starts when they play a trailer at 4:56 that briefly teased some of the new characters and story elements from the new arc, so maybe skip to 7:20 if you don't want any spoilers at all. I am surprised that they already have a voice actor for a certain character. Here is a link to a separate video if you just want to watch that trailer by itself. There is no actual animation for Bleach yet though. So it really IS pronounced "Tight" Kubo and not "Tee-teh" Kubo? I've heard that before and thought it was wrong, but apparently not. Man, I can't get over that. And I don't know how I'm going to be able to change my pronunciation of it. So, they are doing a movie for Burn the Witch, to start out, I guess, and not a series. That makes a lot more sense. And explains the production values. Burn the Witch is going to be a weekly series? Will Kubo be able to do keep up with a weekly series without killing himself? I hope he has a lot more people helping with the work this time, if that is the case. Wow, if those are the Japanese voice actors for Rukia and Byakuya, I have to say their normal speaking voices do not sound like their characters at all! I swear I have seen the guy on the far right somewhere before. Was he on GameCenter CX? They brought the voice actors out for Burn the Witch, and the director. The girl on the right said she read Bleach in school and never expected she would be part of Kubo's world. The girl on the left thought they first met when they did the recording for the trailer, but they actually met during the auditions. Oops lol. That's embarrassing! The Burn the Witch manga is starting this summer and the movie is coming out in the fall. So supposedly somewhere in the Bleach manga it said that Squad 13 is an Eastern Division, which hinted that there are other divisions of the Soul Society. I don't remember this at all. But I do remember it being mentioned that Sasakibe, the 1st Squad Lieutenant, had spent time in England which is why he acts and dresses like he does. So I'd say that is more of a hint than anything else, that there is at least one more Soul Society in another part of the world. Apparently Kubo planned to take a 15 year break after finishing Bleach. He could have just retired. I'm sure he has plenty of money. But Shueisha managed to persuade Kubo to get back to work sooner. Why was Kubo not here? Well, he did say in his note that he did a bunch of manuscripts for Burn the Witch already and is just sitting at home playing Animal Crossing while all these announcements are going on. And no Kubo we did not forget about Bleach! And ending the video on Number One.
  20. Here is a video elaborating on things. I didn't know that Kishimoto had a new manga or that Jump canceled it. That's fuckin' cold lmao. Judging from the comments, apparently it had way too much exposition, and the art for the fights was confusing. Didn't the Bleach manga actually have more than 686 chapters, because of the weird numbering of the Turn Back the Pendulum arcs? Either way, that's still a lot of chapters left to animate! Yes we all hope Kubo revises the ending. But it hasn't been 8 years since the manga ended. I think he got confused with the anime there. Yes it is odd that they are going right to making the Burn the Witch anime without even seeing how the manga goes over. Though I would call it more a spin-off of Bleach than a sequel. Though going off of that trailer I don't see how it is connected to the Bleach world at all.
  21. Why is it with anime there always has to be a thick buxom girl and a petite girl? Well, as usual, Kubo's character designs do not disappoint! And I gotta say those production values look pretty great!
  22. We actually don't know what this Bleach anime is going to be like yet.
  23. I wouldn't know. I know Oda is mandated to take his 4th week off so he doesn't kill himself, so the manga would be making less progress than some others. I also understand that Toei refuses to do filler arcs so it just pads things out like crazy. And apparently it has gotten so bad that fans are begging for filler arcs so the canon can be better paced. But there is literally no reason to do any filler here with Bleach, unless it is "canon-filler" which would and should be done to improve the story immensely. Maybe get the cut story elements from Kubo.
  24. Maybe Kubo has some notes and plans on stuff he didn't include in the manga that could be used.
