I have to say I was extremely baffled when I heard Toonami would be bringing back Blue Exorcist. The original promos gave off a tone more like Spawn, but it was yet another special school anime. Has to be one of the most generic and underwhelming shows out there. And it's a rerun and not new episodes, on top of that? Maybe they get some new episodes after this, though it will take a while to get through the first season. They still don't have to continue/bring back something just because it was on Toonami before. Then again, the fact this got so many more seasons is even more baffling. But, there's a lot worse shows they could have brought back, I suppose. This show doesn't piss me off, it's just kind of blah. I wonder how the following seasons handled the first season's diverging from the manga.
