    Not a big fan of mecha in general, the tropes more than the mecha themselves, but this might be different. This show is obviously nothing like most mecha series I have seen.

    RIP Akira Toriyama. He was only 68, younger than I thought, and been doing this since he 23, and was still working on some projects. Wow. Dragon Ball Z was what got me into anime in the first place. Lots of great memories. I started with the Androids Saga, when Dr. Gero and Android 19 showed up, and was hooked. I later went back and collected the VHSes, and also quite a lot of action figures and some videogames, and a DBZ Vegeta Haiiwan shirt. 😄 Done some fan art too. Dragon Ball Z got me into anime, as I baselessy hated anime before that haha. Then it was "I hate all anime except for Dragon Ball Z," then I gradually started watching more series. 🤣

    Wow, that's surprising, to put it mildly. I gotta say, I burnt out on the zombie genre some years ago, when it seemed like every movie, TV show, game, was just endless zombies all the time. It got way oversaturated. I had actually hoped Warm Bodies would take off and kill off the genre for a while, like Twilight did for vampires. The concept from the synopsis also doesn't sound appealing to me. But, since it's airing on Toonami, I will give it a chance. The character designs and art style look good, at least.

    Yeah, maybe not training Hinata as well, because she didn't pick it up as quickly like Neji or her sister Hanabi, and because she understandably didn't like fighting. More logic from this clan and village lol.

    The Dr. Slump crossover in Dragon Ball was pretty fun. I never got around to watching Dr. Slump, but I think will check it out sooner than later, now.

    Although some western animated shows are an exception and had continuing stories, and/or more mature themes, plus stuff like Transformers and ThunderCats were hybrids of sorts. I do enjoy western animation too. That said, anime is a whole different beast, not just in animation, but in general. I'm glad Dragon Ball Z got me into it, as I baselessy hated anime before that haha. Then it was "I hate all anime except for Dragon Ball Z," then I gradually started watching more series. 🤣

    They'll come to Earth, but not to avenge you, Raditz lmao. Even dying, Raditz is still talking shit, but Piccolo shuts him up. Bringing Raditz back to life would be a wasted wish. 🤣 Kai corrected the colors for Nappa and Vegeta's armor, and Vegeta's hair, here.

    You might still be right. I was never into psychedelics myself so not sure. It's possible the animators might have been aware of it, even if they never used anything themselves. An example of the strictness is when that Yakuza VA got busted for drugs and basically got erased, Josef Stalin-style. But the Kenshin author got busted for CP, paid a $1200 fine, and returned to work after some time (and his wife didn't divorce him.) Amazing.
