  1. Is there even a limit? Huh, never occurred to me that there even could be but I guess that makes sense.
  2. No problem. Nothing against Baltimore but I'm rootin' for the Bengals to hold on, just 'cause.
  3. Oh good god man 5 posts? You realize under spoiler tags that would have been fine as just one post right? Eh whatever, I'm the type of poster who doesn't even like to double post if it can be avoided so maybe I'm just anal. And I guess it doesn't really matter. So 688 episodes? That's not that bad. That's less than 2 a day. I wasn't counting but I must have watched at least 300 this year myself, which is actually low by my standards but then considering how awful this year was for me not so surprising I suppose.
  4. How long is it? Personally I'd just post it here like I did yesterday. But if you think it's thread-worthy by itself by all means.
  5. I saw that some guy actually filed paperwork with the city for it, good on him imo. Also, happy birthday @CAC
  6. 0 - 16, quite the accomplishment.
  7. And the Cowboys take what will likely be an insurmountable 6 point lead.
  8. Highlight of the game so far: a fan was using a Frieza blanket in the crowd.
  9. Real barn-burner at the half: 0 - 0
  10. So far a typical throwaway, meaningless game by both teams. Foles left after the first and looked....frankly, like ass. Sure it's cold and as said a game of no importance but he looked pretty bad against Oakland too. Unless he comes out looking like an unstoppable madman in 2 weeks hard not to expect a brutal loss in our first playoff game. But I'll start worrying about that more in another week or two. Right now interested in seeing how this Sudfeld kid plays. Looked pretty not bad on that first drive, banana peel slip on that one play aside.
  11. Well one game at a time I suppose and today we get Dallas in a meaningless affair! Who will win!?!?
  12. Ketchup yes, the rest no.
  13. Alright well 2017 has come and gone and I've made no secret of my feelings regarding it. I've had bad things happen in my life before, loved ones die, etc...but this was probably the worst year of my life so far. At least of the ones I was old enough to remember. Now most of that is entirely my own doing, but still...I will not be sad to see 2017 go. The following is the list, from best to "worst." of the top 10 Anime I managed to watch that aired in the 2017 calendar year: Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon My Hero Academia Season 2 Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu Season 2 KonoSuba: God's Blessing on this Wonderful World! Season 2 Restaurant to Another World Tsuki ga Kirei Demi-chan wa Kataritai New Game!! Sakura Quest Net-juu no Susume As it turns out by my count as of now I've actually completed exactly 40 series that aired in 2017. As such 1 out of every 4 ended up on this list. Not an intentional occurrence on my part I assure you, but a neat one nonetheless. In the past when making these lists I've counted series that started in a certain year towards that year even if they didn't end in it. Shirobako being the obvious example that immediately comes to mind. As such, at least one series that I wanted to get to this year, but which I failed to get to this year, is noticeably missing: The Ancient Magus' Bride. As a reader of the source material, and from the general positive outcry I've glimpsed around the web, I feel like I can pretty strongly assume that series would have made my list, been high on it too most likely, had I actually watched it. Therefore, that will probably be amended somewhere down the road. There are actually a few other series I feel could have definitely made this list had I gotten to them. Himouto! Umaru-chan R for instance. The first series was my favorite anime of 2015 and I can't imagine I wouldn't also love the sequel. But I have yet to find out. Someday I'm sure, someday. I'll just say then that the bottom 3 or 4 entries on this list aren't exactly strong picks. I liked them all well enough don't get me wrong, they just have potential to be replaced as I've said. Aside from that the only other thing that noticeably sticks out to me about this list is the strong presence of sequels, 4 of them. Personally I don't like it when there's too many sequels on my anime of the year lists, and I think I've done a decent job of avoiding that to this point. But hey, that's just the way it panned out this year what can I say? 2018's already shaping up to possibly have this problem as well with more Academia and Saiki K. along the way among others, but we'll see. Anyway just to finish I'd say outside circumstances didn't allow me to enjoy 2017's anime offerings, nor the year itself, as much as I would have liked. It is my sincere hope that 2018 turns out to be a much better year, for me and for all. Thanks for reading.
  14. Demi-chan wa Kataritai 1 - 13(END) Alright so with that finished I'm planning on writing up a brief retrospective on 2017 as well as my Top 10 Anime of 2017 sometime within the next day or so. Possibly even right after finishing writing this actually so be on the lookout for that if anyone cares.
  15. Before I forget again I also finished Blend S last Saturday.
  16. I was unable to log on the past few days because this site decided to be bullshit for me again so I'm late in saying this but boy that Monday night game was fucking brutal. I knew we'd lose our first playoff game with Foles but man we're gonna get fucking humiliated aren't we? Such is the life of an Eagles fan.
  17. Repost but why the fuck not? I managed to see it yesterday, though unfortunately we got stuck in the fucking parking lot and missed the opening crawl and first few minutes. So I was already pretty pissed before even sitting down to watch it. Maybe that hurt it for me, but honestly it was a 7 out of 10 at best and I feel like I'd feel that way regardless. First let me say that the last hour or so actually saved it. I was really not feeling things early on, and the worst of that feeling came as Finn and whatsherface were riding those goddamn awful looking horses.(Though the tentacle beasts in Force Awakens still looked worse.) That entire casino plot was so fucking boring and unnecessary. Really wish it wasn't in the film. It also felt like the movie was 50% Empire Strikes Back just done out of order or with slight tweeks(Like Hoth? Now it's last instead of first! Enjoyed how the Millenium Falcon's hyper drive wasn't working? Well now we're actually gonna track them by hyper drive or light speed or whatever it was! And wanna see Luke mimic Yoda to train Rey?) 25% Return of the Jedi(As someone whose favorite character in all of Star Wars is Palpatine every time Snoke was on screen I wanted to shout fuck you you awful ripoff! They even used the Emperor's Theme briefly while he was holding up Rey. And then even had him show her her friends dying like Palpatine did to Luke, give me a fucking break. Literally the only thing he didn't do was zap her with Force Lightning, though he did briefly show it off earlier in the film because of fucking course he had to.) and 25% new stuff. Some of which, the casino plot, was a chore to sit through as I've said. So what did I like? I liked that they killed off Snoke because fuck him. He deserved to go out like a bitch. Hell at least Palpatine was busy shocking the crap out of Luke before Vader blindsided him. I liked most of Luke at the end. Facing the AT AT knockoffs or whatever they were and then Kylo. I didn't like him actually dying though, that seemed unnecessary. I know he'll be a ghost in the next one, but part of me suspects had Disney known Carrie Fisher was gonna die he'd have lived. Ironically she lived in the film too. I felt like Finn probably should have succeeded in sacrificing himself with that kamikaze attack. That would have made a nice moment and fitting end for him but knew there was no chance of it actually happening. I loved the Darth Sidious name drop Luke gave. Like I said, Palpatine's my favorite! And uh....that might be it? Yoda's random cameo just felt random. Neither good nor bad. It confused me how Frank Oz perfectly mimicked his original trilogy Yoda voice here....but not in the prequels. Did George specifically tell him to make Yoda sound different in those cause they were set in the past? I get he's younger but you wouldn't think an 870 year old creature would sound that drastically different at 900! C-3PO had the opposite problem. Anthony Daniels must be getting old or something because boy was he sounding weak here. And speaking of not to speak ill of the dead or anything but yeah, Carrie Fisher sounded like she was struggling to say her lines. Like she needed to be on oxygen or something may she rest in peace. Her whole little force scene was extremely silly and absurd, but I'm willing to overlook it. The biggest thing I'm left wondering now is...what's next? Now that this film managed to rip off Empire AND Jedi there's nothing more to rip off for episode IX so it pretty much HAS to be original. Is it really just gonna be Kylo as the big bad? He doesn't really feel powerful enough for that, but who else? Phasma was unceremoniously killed off after doing basically nothing making her this trilogies Boba Fett. And obviously Snoke's gone. At the same time I absolutely DO NOT want to see Snoke somehow magically come back or anything like that so if that's my only other option I'll take Kylo. And Mad Eye Moody's son I guess but I think of him as more of an Admiral Piett kinda character at this point. I really, really, really hope the next film has a good lightsaber fight though regardless. This new trilogy is in sore need of one. The one in the Force Awakens was okay at best and we didn't even actually get one in this film. Not a true one anyway. I don't count Rey and Kylo using them to fight those Emperor's Guard knockoffs. I'd sooner count that brief skirmish Rey had with Luke with the sticks. That I wish had gone on a bit more, that was actually pretty decently cool. People bash the prequel saber duels for being too choreographed or whatnot and that's fair. I certainly still love them but it's fair. But at least give us something on par with Luke vs Vader in Empire or Jedi in episode IX, please. In visual execution at least as I'd say they've already failed in making me care about Rey and Kylo as much as I did Vader and Luke, or Anakin and Obi-Wan, or Yoda and Palpatine. That ship has sailed. I felt indifferent towards the boy showing off force powers ending. Overall I would much sooner watch the entire original trilogy and Revenge of the Sith over this again any day of the week. Is it better than Force Awakens? I honestly can't decide. Both are 7/10s tops so I don't know. Maybe Star Wars just isn't for me anymore. I don't feel the same connection to these new movies. I'll definitely still give IX a shot though in 2 years, assuming I'm still here and able.

  19. After not being able to get on for several days finally I can again! This site is easily the worst of the ones I visit regularly in that regard though. Honestly it's probably not even worth it, but whatever. Anyway I finished days ago: Sakura Quest 1 - 25(END)
  20. I'm ready.
  21. I can't decide who is sexier between her and Shiori. Luckily I got 14 more episodes to watch to help me decide!
  22. Inuyashiki 11(END)
