  1. I couldn't afford to shop at Whole Foods before I definitely can't afford it now that I have a car payment and probably higher insurance.
  2. 2013 Toyota Prius This girl Aww yeah May sound dumb but a Prius is like, one of my dream cars. All the city driving I do. I'm about to save so much on gas.
  3. I've read that as long as it's within 2 weeks it will only count against ur credit once
  4. It only counts as one if they're in a short time frame even though it shows up more than once. From what I've read they do that to make sure you get the best rate.
  5. The car I wanted to see most was "in the shop" but they were more than happy to show me one that was $1800 more expensive, and another that was $1500 more and smelled like an ashtray. And I overheard the guy next to me trying to sell some people a car that had been in an accident where air bags deployed and he was acting like that's a thing that is totally normal and happens to a lot of cars.
  6. So after I went to that used car place yesterday I got an e-mail from Credit Karma saying there was a new inquiry in my credit report. It was just the name of the place so I didn't think much of it. Today I have another e-mail from Capital One about my credit report and now suddenly there are 4 separate inquiries, 3 from yesterday and 1 from today all with different names.
  7. Well it was a Jetta sooooo... When we looked it up the highway mileage was great but city was about 30 which is good but not really that much better than other cars I've researched. Also the guy was just kinda rude overall and just seemed to get ruder as he realized the high-pressure sales tactics weren't gonna work on us so maybe I'm just more inclined to believe everything he told us was just a lie
  8. I mean yeah but I told the guy most of my driving is in the city so the gas mileage wouldn't be that much better and he still tried to tell me it was cheaper. Like it would probably even out to be about the same.
  9. But like I don't remember the last time I saw diesel cheaper than gas. This was also a car that was over the budget I told him, wasn't one of the brands I told him I preferred, and when I told him I wasn't really interested because diesel is more expensive and most of my driving is in the city so I wouldn't really benefit that much from the better MPG, he kept pushing it and seemed annoyed that I didn't love the car (Or maybe just annoyed that I know how to use Google to do 2 seconds of research on diesel cars). Then he showed me a car that as soon as I opened the door smelled like an ashtray. He claimed he'd put something in the car overnight to get rid of the smell but not only was a skeptical that 1. he'd follow through with that, and 2. it would work as well as I'd need it to, the car had some serious smoke stains so that one was a hard pass for me. I had a specific car in mind that I saw on this place's website but when I asked about it he just said it was "in the shop" and "needed $1300 of repairs" but I wonder if he was just trying to get me in a more expensive car since that one was about $1800 less than the ones he showed me tl;dr Athena complains about used car buying
  10. Fireworks are cool on the 4th of July but that's about all I need each year to be happy. Someone in my neighborhood likes to set off fireworks almost every night it seems.
  11. Yes it is totally the "government" to blame, not the rich NIMBY types that vote that kind of stuff down. https://www.latimes.com/local/abcarian/la-me-abcarian-homeless-venice-20190604-story.html
  12. Wow you mean to tell me there are a lot of homeless people living on Skid Row? Color me surprised. I'm sure all of LA is exactly like this.
  13. I sit down when I pee There's nothing that crazy 'bout me I'm just taking a whiz Mind your own biz Why is everybody always starin' at me?
  14. It's not. At all.
  15. I have no idea why it flagged that of all things. Thankfully it doesn't flag stuff often.
  16. I pay for everything with card. Why would I not I get cash back. Pay it off in full every month.
  17. Multiple charges for hundreds, even sometimes thousands of dollars for various things? Just fine. A $1.85 charge from McDonald's? That's suspicious better lock your account until you verify that it's you. Thankfully I've never actually had my card stolen I just find it funny that I warn wedding vendors that the charge for a deposit for something might be flagged, when really it's my fucking french fries that I have to worry about.
  18. I doubt it was an accident because that is my name. I'm worried a client somehow got a hold of my personal number and responding in anyway would validate that to them. Or it's just a spam text and I'd be wasting my time responding to a bot or something.
  19. No it was my fiance that sent it lol he knows my ssn and was just messing with me. Trust me if it was just some random person I'd be doing something.
  20. I mean it's more likely that it was like, some kind of spam text. I've gotten one before that started with just, "Hey" and then sent something about them finding embarrassing picture of me. I'm guessing if I replied it would end up being something like that but I'm not taking any chances.
