It feels like we're getting a new "Super's the worst" thread every day. But it's completely true though. Super IS the fucking worst. Making Goku closer to his original characterization has just made him an unlikable asshole ala Peter Griffin. It's not fun to see the characters you used to like be turned into absolute dickheads.
