I wouldn't even bother with cosmetic refurbishing. Most of the Victrolas I've seen in other people's homes had been painted all sorts of weird colors to match the rest of the furniture. So, it's either that or my buyer turns out to be a restoration enthusiast, similar to the guy buying my radios.

When a thing can be sold, traded or used, it's not trash.
