  1. Oh right we have sponsors on the block now. Gotta pay for those movies somehow.
  2. 😮 THEY GAVE IT A PERFECT SCORE!! HOW OFTEN DOES THAT HAPPEN!? Good for them for not observing any of the online controversies.
  3. So here's more information on this movie: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Batman:_Year_One_(film)
  4. K so like how is this a movie yet also apparently lasts only 70 minutes?
  5. Soon: another animated geek-oriented action movie that for once you can actually say to your family that you saw it and NOT feel embarrassed.
  6. Jesus Christ. For the record, all legal ways to watch anime has worked for me. But i suppose it depends on what equipment you have and what devices you use to play them.
  7. Wait. Batman Year One fits cozily into an hour and a half of a cable block with commercials?? That sounds more like a special.
  8. I don't see anything.
  9. Cool! It was illegal anyway!
  10. The titles ALMOST sound incredibly similar.
  11. .... So we have two dicussion threads for this?
  12. Fire Force Season 2 7
  13. Uzaki-chan Wants To Hang Out! 6
  14. ... is this from a reliable source?
  15. Remember we got a TOM Funko Pop figure last holiday season. That may have been totally done by Gamestop though.
  16. I wouldn't say only "channel". What about an online platform? Or joining a streaming service? Does it take an arm and a leg to get sufficient merch? They always had a problem with that. Whenever merch did appear, it was always either due to the barest amount of spare budgets they had, or completely at the will of a third party. ... I have a SARA T-shirt.
  17. It seems like Warner Media is shuffling who owns what in all their acquisitions at least once a year. Neo Toonami has not been doing nearly as well as it did at its peak in 2015. More and more customers are ditching cable every year. And now in the pandemic, there's less new acquisitions for the Toonami team to air, leading to the block shrinking to a shorter runtime, and filling half of it with reruns, or dedicating whole evenings to special events. There doesn't exactly seem to be a reason why it's still on cable once a week at the wee hours of the morning anymore. So I postulated this theory...
  18. We know by now that DeMarco has less power over the block than we thought back in 2012. And if Toonami's presence is a peculiar instance on cable, how come no one can done anything to bring it to the next generation of entertainment platforms yet? I assume they believe that Toonami is still valuable on cable due to how there's nothing else like it on cable at the moment, and more exposure to these very different art forms can get a bigger audience for Crunchyroll and the like. And if what Jman says turns out to be true, the very show DeMarco helped create and fund for 2021 would never air on Toonami all together, which very VERY ironic.
  19. People forget they had an anime block. But of course all the anime was aimed at children only, and it didn't last.
