... how could the first show of the block get over a million, yet a premiere of a dub can't even beat Naruto Shippuden!!?

Saying nobody cares about ratings on a Toonami board is like saying nobody cares about a porcupine in a bouncy castle.

According to the latest Toonami Faithful Podcast episode, Michelle Ruff said that this dub "was rushed" since I guess they were forced to have a tight deadline to complete it. Then there wasn't any news about it for months, making Ruff wonder if they had the lost chance of extending the dub longer. So if there are any weird-sounding performances in the beginning of the season, that's why.

600K looks lame to me, but then, this is premiering at 2 in the morning, so I suppose that's above average.

This can vary based on peoples' lifestyle. While the day may not fall on a weekend, people, especially in the USA, refer to the weekend that a holiday falls on to be a "holiday weekend" and they can extend the festivities to the entire 2 or 3 days off. ex- my workplace will have the Monday and Tuesday off, even though the 4th of July actually falls on that Tuesday, leaving us with a 4-day weekend, because they know some of the workers will take a trip. And that's not just the fourth of July holiday either! You find people talking about "the Christmas weekend", or "the Halloween weekend", or "the Labor Day weekend", or "the Mother's Day weekend", or "the Father's Day weekend", or "the Memorial Day weekend".
