It just occurred to me. Remember that genre poll DeMarco ran on Twitter? It appears horror won. So maybe the "will confuse some ppl" anime will be horror!

Because acquiring and promoting other anime doesn't require heading over to Japan to meet the committees in person. With FLCL 2 and 3, they had to be INVOLVED. DeMarco's name is in the producer end credit. This is important to them.
