Speaking fucking up your weekend one time I rented the Rocketeer easily the single worst game I've played and another SNES bad memory but as I said things did turn around once I got better games and was more selective with my rentals. Secret of Mana was the game that made me fan for life of the SNES.

And making things worse every time I went to the video store Super Mario World was always out seriously I've never had so much bad luck with one system than I had with the Super Nintendo.

It's kinda weird that I've become such a mark for that console because out of the consoles I've owned the SNES was the system I had the shortest time with. When I got it was one the most disappointing Christmases ever because my bought the one that didn't come with Super Mario World as the pack in game instead I got Ultraman Toward's the Future as my first SNES game. The D-pad would hurt my thumb, most of my friends were Genesis kids so and weren't into Super Nintendo and just when things started to get interesting the AV cable got damaged and my dad wouldn't replace it because I still had a NES and Genesis. And yet in spite of all that negativity it's still my favorite console

To me Kirby's Dream Course is like NBA Jam where you can get enjoyment out of a game base on a sport that you're not a fan of

it seems like the Nintendo hasn't had good fighters since the SNES era

My little brother had the Wii...was not a fan it seemed to gimmicky even for Nintendo. Based on the third party support Switch is getting to me that console feels more like the spiritual successor to the SNES and everyone knows how I feel about the SNES

Well I may have had something to do with that

For me the selling point is Nintendo's first party games. If I ever get a Switch it would be the first console I've owned since the PS2. I haven't payed attention to gaming until recently so I'm not really familiar with the current gaming franchises and I wouldn't be sure where to start so Switch would make the most sense for me to get since I know Mario, Kirby, Zelda ect..and I could build a collection off of those games.

I don't have one but I really want one. I love the idea of being able to take games on the go.

Well to be fair Nintendo also turned down Sony and missed out on the PlayStation

Well here's another extra kick in the nuts... SEGA USA wanted to partner up with Sony on new console but SEGA (Japan) turned it down so as a result the PlayStation was born, also there that missed opportunity to partner up with a company called Silicon Graphics a company that went on to help create the N64 and then there was that meeting with Microsoft that went nowhere and a year later the Xbox was born

And let's not forget about the 32X and the Saturn

And people are losing their shit

They coming with a Sega Genesis classic next year, But whatever you do avoid Genesis clone systems made the company ATGames, they are terrible trust me

Hackchi2 will be your friend

Yeah I went from 30 games to 120 games but I should warn you in advance that the controller cord is really really really short

It is but it's more fun when you mod it and add games to it.

Didn't learn from the first two Bubsy games eh?

At first I was thinking about skipping out on the holidays in general but now I'm seeing it as an opportunity to do things the way I want to do it this year
