Without tossing any spoilers, I can just say that the first installment of Wicked is a real head scratcher. I need to see the second part to find out how it all ties in with the original Wizard of Oz. It seems at this point that Elphaba (Wicked Witch of the West) had a lot more motive than simply acquiring the ruby slippers.
