  1. Your doctors probably don't care that much.
  2. After forty five years in business at the same location, my chiropractor has received some interesting news. Somebody is set to buy the building where his office is and does not want to operate it until after a huge renovation job is completed. The chiropractor has decided to take all of his equipment home and treat his patients there. He also said that he wants to treat certain patients on a house call basis. I can meet him on that. His house is five miles from the nearest bus stop. I don't want him in my house because my couch or bed can not double as the chiropractic table that he uses. So, the deal is that I ride to the bus stop and he will pick me up from there to his new home office. That's what I call service.
  3. What even makes you think the company has any say over my pension? They don't own the account. The union does. The company is allowed only to make deposits into it, not withdrawal from, close or otherwise redirect the money.
  4. Nope. Getting 100% full pension payment.
  5. It's their loss. The money I'm getting now is funded in part by people who don't stay long enough to vest. Whether a person works ten years or just ten hours, the employer is still paying into the system. As for the few people who actually do move on to better things, they're usually just there to tide over a gap. One in particular was a welder who got tired of working construction and was looking for welding work in a production shop. He found it, but it took three years.
  6. Actually, I have an income in perpetuity. As for my former employment, I was there longer than thirty years. Lazy people can't last one summer in there.
  7. The global atmosphere...
  8. So, you want him thrown into a wood chipper?
  9. What socialism? I'm not qualified for any assistance because my pension has me above the annual income limit for a single person.
  10. You say that, but I know it just boils your bottom that Penny hasn't been hauled away to serve life in prison.
  11. No, This isn't a government owned building and while some tenants here qualify for assistance, I do not.
  12. Then, don't try to belittle my tenancy or my grievances about government failures, property taxes affecting rent rates or how and where tax dollars are actually spent.
  13. And yet, quite truthful in many corporate business operations.
  14. My unlimited data account with the carrier is only costing a round figure of fifty dollars per month, and part of that money is donated to the Tunnels To Towers Foundation.
  15. My landlord also pays the heat bill here. Should he decide to stop paying for heat and leave me scrambling with inadequate room heaters, it's my unquestionable right to find a lawyer, set up an escrow account and stop paying rent until the situation is resolved. That's the lease contract. Likewise, there's a contract between each city and the citizens that in EXCHANGE for the tax money, services such as police, fire fighters and even public schools are to be provided. Why isn't there any right of escrow when the government DELIBERATELY FAILS to provide those services? The fact that you flat out refuse to even ask such a question makes you a HUGE part of what's wrong in this nation.
  16. You openly advocate that renters should be second class citizens just because they are tenants whose taxes are paid by a proxy instead of directly.
  17. Regardless of whether you pay the tax directly or not, you were still entitled to at least a more thorough investigation. You're getting cheated by your government and you won't look that in the face to recognize it.
  18. Now comes the mop up. If Penny should decide to set up a Go Fund Me account to recoup his legal costs, I'm going to be among the very first in line to pay him. I just hope all the other donations combined are seven to ten times whatever he had lost in this phony trial. At least that would cover him for the subsequent civil charges against him.
  19. Oh, now you're changing your tune?
  20. I hope this means that a lot more people would be too afraid of consequences when they decide to commandeer a subway car or other public place and start shouting death threats at random strangers. You can't expect the cops to do their jobs in situations like that because the politicians who tug their strings actually want this sort of chaos and that's the real reason Penny was even charged.
  21. Oh, would you look at that? It's my old attitude from 1982.
  22. Okay, so you found a very convenient loophole. If you have any kids, they shouldn't be allowed to attend a public school.
  23. So, if your car is burning, you shouldn't expect the fire brigade to put it out because you don't pay your municipal or county taxes. And, you shouldn't be allowed to walk or drive on public streets, visit the public library, eat lunch in a public park or even use a public restroom... because you don't pay your taxes. You dodge them by renting an apartment.
