i'm just going through some stuff i want to learn. some of it i think my company might use. others are just interests

i'm not trying to make him mad but by the replies in the thread i did seem to frustrate him. at least calling me a "drone" made it certainly seem that way. my company keeps me busy, provides structure, helps me to save money, and gives me incentives to work towards. learning these technologies seems to be one way of potentially getting to that next level. even if it doesn't, i'll get some certifications hopefully out of it, which will help in my next job search for a higher leveled position.
