it's been forever, but as I recall - the socializing generally came while waiting around for respawns and/or waiting for groups to gather. Otherwise you will jeopardize the mission god dammit. Or I guess sometimes waiting around to heal up and get mana/magic/whatever points back and stuff like that after a big fight/before the next big fight. I have literally not played an mmorpg for - fuck must be at least a decade by now. I don't even remember quitting. Just one day I wasn't playing them anymore.
