I did not speculate on intent, in fact in my og post I attributed it to your subconscious - Trump does something crazy, everybody scream. Biden does something similar, everybody sleep because Trump guy done ten crazier things since then. Or people defend it because it was bad when Trump did it but good now that Biden is doing it in response to Trump doing it. Now it is normalized, the Overton window has shifted in the minds of Democrats, and now the thing itself is not so crazy anymore.

I really am sorry about this that stuff is so stressful. I wish there was a place on this board where it felt appropriate and safe to talk about this stuff. I've posted some about my family members in crisis and caring about their living situations, I know how it feels for it to dominate your thoughts and to want to express what you're feeling about it, or to just get it out there that you are dealing with something like that. All I'm gonna say in response to your posts is that my commentary was on what I see from Democrats *generally* on every 1:1 Trump-Biden comparison, whether it's on policy or wrestling promo theatrics or whatever else. Your post exemplified it pretty perfectly. It's like-- Biden puts more kids in cages, blue maga cries "but trump did family separation" or "Trump did it more racistly by fearmongering about caravans." Someone says something about Biden being flanked by ominous goons and giving a fucked looking speech straight off WWE TV with The Fiend lighting talking about "the soul of the nation" making them uncomfortable and reminding them of the last President who everyone hated when he did something similar and immediately it's "ok but has he done a coup or stolen any nUcLeaR dOcUMenTs lately??!??!!!?!//!!??!?/" I didn't even know he gave a speech last night until this morning man, I'm sorry your family is going through things, we're all dealing with our personal shit, don't like get upset over nothing.

This is how the Overton window works in the minds of Democrats. As long as the Republicans exist and keep doing sexy new things and opening up new frontiers in being terrible, ie Then the Dems are free to be as bad as they wanna be in the vast spaces cleared out by the dominant political party. Whatever new wild and crazy shit they wanna say or do with the police and the military and whatever will be excused away and normalized by Dem supporters, ie Just so long as the Dems don't ever overstep their beta bimdoe bounds by utilizing any new tactic (regardless of reward or advantage) like, say, abolishing the filibuster or packing the court, adding Senate seats, etc, any of that would be radical and disrespectful to the institutions and norms and processes which never deliver anything good for anyone except for the elite interests of the climate change-inducing jetset, they're pretty happy with everything as is and wouldn't want anything to shake that up, or else some stray crumbs may fall out and down to us.

It's not about the addled almost-octegenarian currently occupying the interchangeable role of standard bearer for your right-wing warmongering imperialist political party being "milquetoast," I'm laughing at the idea of *any* neolib Dem mascot saying anything of substance on this subject, ever. I mean the guy is currently touting what a great institution American police forces are, he is literally making the rounds demanding publicly for there to be many more cops hired and armed and trained and for them to get more money and weapons and power and attention and respect and for him and his party and their voters (ie you) to get the credit for that happening. In the country that already locks up 25% of the world's prisoners. Your party is trash and its endless series of "failures" to ever be anything other than what it actually is does more to usher in fascism than any other force in America. Thinking you're doing something by reading the news and then leaving the house once every 2-4 years to vote for your party which is captured by the *exact same interests* as the more openly white supremacist party you fret about. How are you going to fight fascism with fascism, that's ridiculous.
