honestly, i really, really liked the boruto movie. it hit all the best check marks for me. but this series is so fail. also, Kishimoto's original short story for Boruto was also pretty interesting. as was his mitsuk one-shot. as muh as i complain about his writing going bad, Boruto written by kishimoto is muuuuuuch better than boruto written by its actual writer

rip off of killua, eh? i feel like Brotu could really have benefited from kishimoto leaning harder into the plagiarism. imagine if Boruto were more like Gon than Naruto. when Naruto started declining as a series, i really felt that it would have ended up mch better f Kishimoto just straight up copied ruroken instead of going off on his own tangents

Sakura's inadequacy is only in real life, not in-series. she's tsunade's assistant and successor, after all. in the real world, we see her and scoff wow, she's terrible" but in the sexist world kishimoto's created, people look at her and say "wow, for a girlie, she's pretty good. i didn't know women could be even marginally competent and hover around average in combat ability. sakura's totally broken through my expectations of what vagina-havers can really do!"
