Yeah, Sentai made a deal with Right Stuf a few years ago to have them warehouse their stuff and handle fulfillment for their online store. I wish Funimation would do the same; their shop's customer service is terrible. Heh heh, you want funny. I actually got a package from Right Stuf over the summer, when I had no order placed with them, and I was afraid to open it cuz I thought it might be a bomb or something. I did happen to know at the time that they shipped stuff for the Sentai store, but I had no order with them either. I called Right Stuf's customer service and they had no clue about it, but convinced me to go ahead and open it. Turns out it was an item I ordered from the Sentai shop from the previous year's holiday sale that went out of print and got canceled on me. Apparently they got a copy and sent it to me by accident... without charging me for it! Ha ha. I did the right thing anyway and sent it back to them. I bought it from somewhere else already, so I had no reason to want to keep it. So much for New Year's resolutions anyway. I streamed the first episodes for some shows on HIDIVE with the free month's subscription I got for the big Sentai order I made, and decided to grab a few more things before the sale ends tonight. New on order: Bodacious Space Pirates movie, Flying Witch premium edition, Kawai Complex Guide to Manors and Hostel Behavior, Love Chunibyo and Other Delusions Rikka Version, Sabagebu, and Stella Women's Academy

Last day for the Right Stuf sale, and they once again traditionally brought back all of their daily mega deals and also added their Mega Mega deal. LOL Only $2, 069.99! Believe it or not, I think they said somebody last year actually purchased it. Anyway, I'm not that crazy, but I am crazy enough that I sacrificed my better judgement and made one hopefully final order for the year for some limited edition sets: Attack on Titan season 2, Grimgar, MHA season 2 part2, Myriad Colors Phantom World, and No Game No Life Zero. Hopefully, I don't spend any more money on anime again till next holiday season. Guess I'll make that my New Year's resolution that I have almost no hope of keeping.

Man you guys are sleeping on Legends of Tomorrow

Yeah, looks like that demon from Constantine's past has something to do with whatever Nate's dad is up to with the magical creatures at the bureau. That reminds me, I don't think they showed what happened to Mona after the timeline got fixed. Really hope she's gonna be alright. Things didn't look so good for her when we last saw her. -
Aquaman 9/10 Total visual spectacle. Some of costumes were a bit over the top I thought, but it is a super hero movie, so it's to be expected. Solid, fun origin story in any case, so another much needed win for DC I'd say.

Well, looks like Right Stuf finally finished adding stuf to their holiday sale. Got the final volumes of Durarara x2 from them that I still needed, but that was it. The Sentai Shop brought back their sale though, with the same prices they had before on most things. Seems like they just increased prices slightly on items that are either low in stock or on backorder, so I put in one last order there. It's supposed to run this time through January 5th for those who are interested. New on order: Blade & Soul, Hayate the Combat Butler seasons 2 - 4 & movie, Kinmoza seasons 1 & 2, La Corda d'Oro ~ Blue Sky, Leviathan the Last Defense, Psychic Squad Unlimited, Strawberry Marshmallow OVA collection, and Student Council's Discretion seasons 1 & 2

The mid-season finale was pretty epic. -
Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse 10/10 That was just awesome. I was a bit skeptical back when I saw the first trailer for it many months ago, but super glad I changed my mind about seeing it. Stan Lee cameo and nice little tribute to him at the end were great to see, too. Man was a visionary without a doubt. Also, the collector card packs they handed out for purchasing tickets were a nice surprise, especially since I lucked out and got the ones for my three favorite characters. Sweet.

Yami. He started off seeming to be an indifferent hardass who didn't take his squad or anything all that seriously, but this season he's been shown to be an incredibly disciplined fighter who actually cares very deeply about them all, like they're family, because as we now know he no longer has any of his own being a foreign castaway there. Noelle, too, in a way with her family issues. I'd say there's some complexity there. Still, it's true they're kind of the exceptions. Doesn't really matter to me though; the show's mindless fun, and there's enough complexity in the block already. The part of Toonami I honestly look most forward to every night is the tail end of the premieres with Jo Jo, Black Clover, and Hunter Hunter. Kind of a shame they're buried a little, but at least with the recent expansion of the block they're on a little earlier than they used to be.

Not me. I've been watching it from the beginning. First season was pretty bad, as it took itself way too seriously and had a boring villain, but it was worth sticking with it as it got phenomenally better with season 2, and even moreso with seasons 3 and 4. As far as I'm concerned, it's the best, or at least the most fun, show on television. And that's coming from somebody who normally hates time travel stuff. I love the addition of Mona as a recurring character btw. I mean what other show could take a bubbly takout delivery girl and give her a significant role in the show somehow? -

Ralph Breaks the Internet 9/10 Loved it almost as much as the original. Only knock I'd say is that the ending felt a bit anticlimactic and maybe a tad too melancholy, but staying for the scene after the initial credits kind of fixed that a bit. Disney princesses and the racing scene were the big highlights for me.

Yeah, only thing I would caution you about is that if you're looking at getting exclusively the premium edition for it, is that it says it's low stock. Regular edition price is actually higher right now, so if you're fine with that it'll probably be that price or better at some point in the future again. Low stock though anyway doesn't mean it'll necessarily sell out any time soon, as I've seen stuff on their site that's been marked "low stock" for over a year and still is available.

Guy on DVD Talk posted that it's supposed to run through the 25th, Sunday. I seem to remember them doing another Cyber Monday sale right afterwards last year though, and a holiday season sale following that, but I believe the prices changed and weren't as good for those.

Ha ha, yeah my fridge is packed to the point of exploding... kinda like my stomach right now. Ohhh. My bank account unfortunately, not so much. I'm actually glad I haven't seen much of any other really tempting deals at places like Amazon or Right Stuf yet so far. Still got Cyber Monday to go though.

Tis the season... to resurrect this thread... and of course to kiss a bunch of money goodbye. Bye bye money. ~waves~ Sentai shop has already got an epic sale going with almost their entire catalogue at close to 90% off, so yeah... I went pretty nuts and ordered about $300 worth of stuff. I'm probably gonna get carpal tunnel just from typing this all, but new on order: Campione, Cobra the Animation, Cross Ange complete, Dog & Scissors, Dusk Maiden of Amnesia, Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya seasons 1 - 3, Fate/stay night Unlimed Blade Works movie, Gatchaman Crowds seasons 1 & 2, Girls und Panzer movie & This is the Real Anzio Battle, Grimoire of Zero LE, I Couldn't Become a Hero yadda yadda..., Intrigue in the Bakumatsu collection 2, Is It Wrong to Expect a Hot Spring in a Dungeon?, Kokoro Connect OVA, Maoyu, Mayo Chiki, MM!, Muv-Luv Alternative Total Eclipse collections 1 & 2, Penguindrum collection 2, Say "I Love You", Sword Oratoria Is It Wrong... LE, Utawarerumono OVA & False Faces, and Watamote

Wow, never thought it would happen... Actually, yeah, yeah I did I suppose. I just never thought I'd still be alive to see the day. LOL Obviously, this is awesome, but it just reminds me how sad it is that I've had the manga for years but somehow still haven't gotten around to reading it. Sigh.

FLCL Alternative, Episode 6
Dark_Cloud_Overhead replied to Blatch's topic in Episode Discussion Archive
Sigh. You know, I had really high hopes for this one after the first few episodes, but that ending was just fail to me. Oveall, I still liked Alternative better than Progressive, just cuz I liked the characters more and the feel of it to me seemed closer to the original. Still, that ending was just a letdown. I think they were just too afraid to make these real sequels in any way, and as a result they weren't able to add anything interesting to expand the story or universe of the show in any way. I get that they didn't want to risk offending fans of the original, but that wound up dooming these "sequels" to being mediocre knockoffs of the original at best in the end. -
FLCL Alternative, Episode 2
Dark_Cloud_Overhead replied to Blatch's topic in Episode Discussion Archive
That one really paid a ton of homage to Marquis de Carabas. Essentially, Hijiri = Ninamori; both kids just fooling themselves into thinking that supressing or hiding your emotions makes you more mature somehow. Tsk tsk, nothing more uncool than lying to yourself though. I wonder though if it was Haruko's plan to steal her boyfriend just in order to rile up Kana-bun into using the N.O, or if it was just a coincidence. Yeah, I know, coincidence? Haruko? Pretty doubtful that. -
Toonami Expands to 9PM on 9/29
Dark_Cloud_Overhead replied to QueenoftheDorks's topic in Toonami & [adult swim]
Hmm, not so sure how great a move it is to suddenly move Shippuden so far up in the lineup, but any lineup without Pop Team Epic in it is an improvement in my book. Are we seriously not even halfway through Shippuden though? My gawds! Should be really interesting to see how well, or not, it does that much earlier in the night in the ratings, and how well Boruto can do as well. Gotta say I'm not very optimistic about its ability to remain there very long. I like that they're sandwiching Alternative between Super and AoT though. That definitely should give it the best chance to catch as many eyeballs as possible there, so I take that as a hopeful sign. I was disappointed by Progressive, but the first episode of Alternative impressed me, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it continues to do so. -
What Anime Are You Watching Right Now?
Dark_Cloud_Overhead replied to BUU8800's topic in Anime & Manga
Been a while. Still alive. Been pretty busy, but managed to find time recently to binge about a hundred or so more episodes of One Piece, picking up where Toonami left off, which blew my mind, but that's been about it over the last several months. -
Yep, my mom really wanted to see it ever since she saw the trailer for it like a year ago. She loves movies about dogs or wolves. I read online that they pushed the premiere date for it back a couple of times. Not sure why, but she was pretty mad when I told her. LOL Anyway, she liked it a lot and so did I, even though I'm more of a cat lover myself.
