  1. Whew. Already feels like we're gonna continue to get plenty of great animation in this show, I'm hyped.
  2. Guess it kinda makes sense since the new season starting lines up and this week it's not on.
  3. That's a Lupin escape plan with exit those routes. She's not thinking that through.
  4. I actually kind of liked it as well. I don't remember being surprised that they wanted in on it too with Funi since I felt like there was plenty of hype behind this one due to who was working on it and the animation, and the manga apparently having plenty of content (I was also in since I loved that first season of Darker Than Black which this manga creator worked on). It's been a few years but I recall being surprised it was so short given the large cast and wonder if that lead to my main complaint which for me was that it could have flowed better which I didn't really expect from the adaptation given the staff. And if it were longer it also could have shown more from them too of course. Really liked the buddy cop banter with Kyoma and Mira.
  5. Really sucks, watching Jojo in here each week was an absolute blast, was looking forward to it for Stone Ocean.
  6. Yup, pretty much just this for live TV anime. And Funi has continued to be one of their biggest providers of big shows and premieres all these years, even after they became part of Sony, sometimes even still having dub premieres the night before their own streaming. So I don't think there's too much to worry about in regards to them continuing to be able to work out show deals. So they've been pretty open to sharing with Toonami. It's also possible that that relationship helped strengthen theirs with AoA (huge Demon Slayer and SAO premieres, also KLK etc.) as Funi and Sony got closer and then merged. Plus I always forget they'd even had prior connections with Sony going way back with deals to air both the Bebop movie and Blood+. Given all this history, I'm not sure I'd even write off the possibility of some more Toonami + CR (or Funi/CR) co-productions yet like Fena and Blade Runner, if they're deemed successful. It's not like they've never gotten in early on shows with Funi before (Space Dandy, Dimension W) similar to these new attempts with CR. And they even eventually worked out whatever was delaying the rest of Food Wars with Sentai, so I think Toonami is in pretty good shape aside from Netflix snags (no doubt they wanted Jojo) as long as their relationships with Funi+CR, AoA, and Sentai continue to remain close.
