Yeah, we saw in the anime she jumps in like that, confesses, and then keeps him busy for second or two and gets in a little hit. In the manga apparently it lasts a mere couple of panels where he just blows her away with that Push move right away after she charges at him and takes a few swings.

Right? Heh Also looked like some high quality color shading on her in the first shot where she jumped between them in slow-mo.

Yeah, apparently the anime added that one little glancing blow she got in compared to the manga. At least that's what I'd read back then that in the manga she never got in even a single hit on Pain compared to the anime where she did (not that it actually hurt him though of course). Though now I'm seeing some mixed responses about the manga in my google search...
