Eh, maybe it's not you're type of thing or you don't like mecha then, not everything is going to be for everyone. Gundam became thing because it's had some fantastic shows (like how Wing and G both did amazing on the old block). Not a huge fan of IBO season 1 (especially it's start-stop-start-stop pacing) but I really like Unicorn a lot. I wish Gundam was still in the 1-2AM hour since Unicorn is good, but it can always move up again as it's a franchise that will always have fresh content around for them to choose from as new shows get made if they want them. Also, I think Jojo staying earlier than Tokyo Ghoul is more that Jojo is likely to continue beyond this season on the block rather than something to do with Tokyo Ghoul itself. So it's wise to keep it as hot as possible. Also its content kind of follows DBZ pretty well. Really surprised that Jojo doesn't keep more viewers than it seems like it does. I don't think it's ratings moving Gundam, I think it's them trying to balance content styles throughout the night. It's a "mature-ish paced" dialogue heavy show in between the action that like most Gundam (especially UC stuff) dabbles in a lot of political scheming and "long game". I'd be surprised if they don't get IBO season 2. For example, Gill has even gone on to say that Michiko and Hatchin was quite successful in its run, even though a lot of people say that it didn't do well for example.

Really excited about this great news that I just randomly stumbled across with no idea about when the new trailer suddenly came up on the side of Youtube and shocked the hell out of me LOL. Dai Sato back as full writer, Kenichi Yoshida (and not as just a guest designer/guest animation director on like 2 eps), and Naoki Sato for the music all returning are what gives me hope that this time it's indeed aiming for the original work's feeling, characters, expressiveness, music, and themes for the remake trilogy. And if they really do intend to recapture that feeling, and the remembered and loved versions of the characters from the original series, in this remake (even if some parts are redone in a fresh way) then I'm really looking forward to these movies and seeing Kenichi Yoshida get to animate these characters again in full glory after all this time in full HD. The character (and mecha) designs and animation looked gorgeous and that brand new track fit in well with the scattered electronic music tracks of the original.

Interesting, though kinda weird since I don't feel like the ratings have changed much for it. Could also see Toei raising the price. They've made plenty of bizarre decisions that used to effect the streaming of the show and they're lazy as hell and would love more money for the same product. Yeah. I don't like it leaving over Naruto when Naruto reportedly gets worse and worse with its filler-to-progress ratio after the next arc or so with the rest of Pain, but I do agree that too much of the block was long-runners especially with the recent addition of not one but two whole DBZ show slots, there was little room for new 13-24 ep/1-2 season shows. I wonder if we'll ever know but probably not. Seems like it wouldn't be DeMarco though since he seems to be a proponent of the show. And yeah, I totally missed this news too and just found out about it tonight a few hours before Toonami.
