Yeah, it can be hit or miss. Land of the Lustrous was good with it.
This show is in between, sometimes it's very good with it sometimes it can be a little choppy. One of the cool things it does though is that it starts pushing the envelope on being able to do some of the cool "squash and stretch" that makes 2D animation so dynamic. The cell shading is really good though, also sometimes it looks like a Ghibli film with some of the big nature shots and sometimes it's got KLK's flair.
