Could be fun since this should be damned cool with a dub. Don't usually watch sports anime but I did want to give this one a watch since the art style of this show felt very Champloo mixed with Bebop-style worn-in scifi when it came out, and the first two eps I sampled of the sub reminded me of Redline, with a likable lead and being really stylish, which was a fun movie, so I'll give this an extended shot now that it'll be an easy watch on Toonami. In the synopsis but I guess potential minor spoiler for those wanting to go in cold:

FLCL Alternative continues with episode 5, "Shake It Off" They're back but it looks like Haruko might have something up her sleeve to kick off the next stage. See you tomorrow night @ 11:30PM

Yeah, that was a great episode.

Currently finishing up the sadly super short 8-ep second season of Arslan before the fall show onslaught. Perfect length for the arc and apparently the next arc is a long one so the length was fine and seemingly a good cliffhanger place to break, but I wish we'd get more, for the most part I really enjoyed this show and the characters. Hype. Can't wait until the simuldub starts for this show. Loved this show.

Yeah, Grand Magic games is really good and addictive! I binged it too with my blu-rays, I agree I couldn't imagine having to stop and wait for that next season to start lol The animation is better and less stills (though I kind of miss those controversial magic circles and their music hype lol), but there is one thing, I definitely found myself missing the brighter colors of the first series. FT 2014 is a little more "hazy" filtered than I think it needed to be even with the darker content. The occasionally see-through hair look also took some getting used to after so many eps of the first series. Still loved both though. I think the two pretty typical FT shonen action movies did a good job having both styles together in terms of higher production values and those closer-to-manga designs while also keeping some of the more vibrant coloring.

Yeah, that shot is probably purposefully brief and there's already a lot to take in that's happening to Ymir really quickly, it's likely intentionally hidden and easy to miss unless you're watching really closely and catch it or you're looking for it.

Next week looks like another huge ep and we stopped on what felt like one hell of a pre-battle cliffhanger
