some of the lines are so in your face I'm willing to call it a soft parody it's not a parody in the sense that perfect hair forever was a parody but it's a parody in the sense that Star Vs. the forces of Evil is a parody of the Disney Princess formula

this series is 100% an affectionate parody of Shonen series it's clichee'd because it's playfully messing with Shonen tropes once you understand that, this series suddenly becomes good
