    It looks like they're going ahead with SAO: Alicization topicals although they're not the "new kids on the block" anymore. And, Promised Neverland will probably get them starting with episode 2, so that means every show before 1 AM will have topicals--except My Hero Academia. Should there be topicals for all Toonami shows before 1 AM? Since MHA is hitting its stride in Season 3, should it get them back? And what happens when AOT Season 3 Part B premieres?

    JoJo moves up a spot to 1 AM tomorrow night (4/13) Only 9 episodes remain, and we're getting down to the wire! Time to stop fooling around with nonsensical plot lines (plant cat!? COME ON!) and get to the POINT already. The final showdown with Kira looms in the not-too-distant future, but who knows if we'll get any closer to it tonight? [we probably will]

    I think it's funny that while The Promised Neverland is premiering at Midnight, Hunter x Hunter has been "promised" the "neverland" of 3 AM. [a fate jojo narrowly avoided]

    Sometimes they're worth watching. But if they're gonna do less of them, I really wish they would make them longer. The idea appeared to be to run 2 Toonami promos back-to-back in a single 30-second ad spot, but with only 2 shows' previews, it doesn't really make much sense anymore.

    That's strange--with the exception of Promised Neverland, ALL of this footage is from older episodes that already aired on Toonami. A few examples: the DBS footage is from early Tournament of Power; the MHA footage is from SEASON 2; the SAO footage looks like Episode 10 (which aired last week); the JoJo footage and Black Clover footage are from a few weeks ago; the Hunter x Hunter footage is from the Chimera Ant arc; and the AOT footage is most annoyingly from Season 3, when we've been on Season 1 for 7 weeks now! They're clearly putting a lot more effort into those damn Lazor Wulf promos, which is a shame, because fewer people watched that than My Hero Academia last week! Tigtone and Hot Streets usually beat MHA in the Saturday-to-Sunday timeslot head-to-head competition.

    Sad--no more topical promos. Guess Promised Neverland gets 'em from now on! EDIT: It turns out they DID make one! It showed on Toonami Pre-Flight this evening! Apologies for the crappy quality... Man, Alice really socks it to him!!

    I would have believed July, but MAY!? We'll see if they don't just fill that in for 2.5 more months. I think you're probably just up against the limit of projections.

    Even if it meanders, JoJo is at least wildly entertaining! A good show to put between SAO and Black Clover, and that's not changing! Plus, if we do get Golden Wind, at some point this year all 3 shows will have 2019 animation, and there will be 4 if they replace Promised Neverland with something else animated in 2019! Of course by that time we'll also have AOT S3 Part 2 and/or maybe MHA Season 4...
