  1. Well, if it ever does return, it won't be at the spot where it got pulled! [that's for damn sure]
  2. To be fair, it was only 7k on average less than the previous nadir for the year in 18-49.

  4. I disagree. I think Adult Swim CAN survive on its own without Family Guy or, for that matter, Bob's Burgers, but it REALLY needs to bone up on its successful originals and American Dad to do it. I also believe limited sports programming, such as NCAA Basketball, may be a possibility in the future, especially with TruTV's future uncertain, and most of its more popular shows like Impractical Jokers and Adam Ruins Everything easily transferrable to TBS. If that sounds like a stretch, might be neat to have the voice actor of a popular CN/[as] show on color commentary.
  5. Brace yourselves folks, because MAN, is this gonna HURT! http://www.showbuzzdaily.com/articles/showbuzzdailys-top-150-saturday-cable-originals-network-finals-6-1-2019.html Boruto was off the chart at #66 with a modest 206K viewers and a 0.11 in 18-49. Clearly, having MHA lead Toonami isn't working out for Toonami...but wait! Didn't MHA also lead Toonami during the period last August and September when Attack on Titan impacted THAT schedule as well? If so, then what's the difference? Two Family Guys instead of one? And what does this mean for the future when there won't even BE a Family Guy? Oh well; at least there's always American Dad to fall back on, I guess. They're gonna have to renegotiate contracts to get more weekly AD to pull that off though. Currently it's maxed-out Monday-Friday so they can't even play an episode on Saturday.
  6. You're right. Then I guess it's just Seasons 1-3.
  7. I'd say that's possible. It is funny that during 2019's Boondocks rerun, Season 4 has not seen the light of day, only Seasons 1-3 (but I believe it did in either 2017 or 2018, perhaps both). What I would like to see to usher in Season 5 is a special 2-week Boondocks one-hour special of the U.S. premiere of each banned episode from Season 2, followed by the rerun of the 2 episodes that got one-offed from season 3. Maybe for Black History month 2020, that should be a thing. Come to think of it, I've always found it weird that Toonami shows just let "shit" fly since 2015, but reruns of the Boondocks have the 4-letter "S" word bleeped, no matter what hour they air. In a lead-up to Season 5, a rerun of the first 4 seasons uncensored would be cool! I know that also includes the "F" word, but if Syfy can get away with saying it during TZGZ, so can [as] at that time of night. And frankly, I've always found it quite insulting that the "Return of the King" episode doesn't claim at least one timeslot every MLK night.
  8. https://comicbook.com/tv-shows/2019/05/31/the-boondocks-season-5-confirmed-john-witherspoon/ I'm glad it's returning. I can't wait to see what Aaron McGruder has to say about the Trump administration!
  9. Oh yeah, forgot about them. But I have to admit the original design for the live action movie (that has now been postponed indefinitely) was a total abomination! Looks more like Sasquatch than Sonic The Hedgehog!
  10. I've seen shades of Fate in several episodes of this season of SAO.
  11. It's quite interesting that there are really only two fandoms that have these sorts of issues with their programs: Game of Thrones fans, and Toonami fans. Everyone else just seems to go with it. From what I understand, there are some prefectures of Japan that can only air a toned-down version of the show less likely to cause epileptic seisures, and that's what we've been getting lately on Toonami for some crazy reason.
  12. To be fair, ASD people are probably a large chunk of Toonami's viewership.
  13. Just watched the episode, and... Good Lord, with allies like her, who needs villains!? https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/review/my-hero-academia/episode-52/.134283 Grade: "B". Not even a "+"!? Kiss my ass, reviewer!
  14. It's June 2nd; give it time. Besides, it's not like shows like Venture Bros. and JoJo don't have perfect characters for it!
  15. Sadly, no more of this except in flashbacks, it seems! Did anyone else notice at the end of the OP how the invisible girl was front-and-center, and would have been blocking the others if she wasn't see-through?
  16. I'm fairly certain this was an issue not just with the Toonami premieres but with the reruns as well, so I predict to address this, they'll ultimately make the 8/31 block a marathon of Dragon Ball Super, and begin the marathon with the Jiren fight. It's Dragon Ball Super, so it will likely run all night!
  17. That's beyond ridiculous. He's betrothed to Asuna back in the real world! Eugeo, on the other hand...
  18. This was a great episode!! I couldn't stay up to see it, but I woke up to watch the west coast airing...well, sort of. I actually watched it at 6:30 AM my time because I was able to rewind (though I did get it on DVR too...) Those scenes with the barely-clinging-to-life Gon were just plain hard to watch! But more Leorio epicness in that hug! And now, perhaps more importantly, Ging is cornered! 3 episodes left!
  19. https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/review/boruto-naruto-next-generations/episode-33/.124083 Grade: "B+". Well, that was better than I expected! ON to Shippuden!!
  20. Well, THAT was confusing: an after-credits scene after the "vanity plate"!
