OwlChemist81
And it was damn good! It was kinda like a Japanese Frequency/Freaky Friday Anyone else agree? Edit: it's proper to use italics or underline instead of quotes for movie titles, but that's just not happening with this forum!
The1gairon
I wondered if we had a thread for this movie! It's breaking box office records all across the globe. I am coincidentally seeing it tonight!
MasqueradeOverture
It's Shinkai at his most Shinkai so I'll probably fucking hate it.
CaptainStarwind
I still need to see it, but there's no reason why I'd think I wouldn't like it.
EyeOfPain
And it was damn good! Anyone else agree? Yep, and I'm not a huge fan of Shinkai either. But it was a very well constructed story.

I definitely got that feeling from the trailer but it still looked so amazing I wont be able to see it in theaters though
The1gairon
There's the usual small plotholes that go with any fantasy/supernatural story asking about why powers work the way they do, such as why Taki gets transported to a now-dead girl's body after drinking the saliva sake she made, but then again, no one has actually experienced body-swapping in real life. Otherwise it was so emotional and moving!
Master-Debater131
I just heard about it but probably will go see it. Hearing that its damn good. Only thing I worry about is its going to be in English. Which might ruin some of it :\

Sometimes you can't tell until you're in the theater itself.

There are not a lot of showtimes for it so I may be stuck

Yea, I can see that. I typically like to watch in Japanese because a lot of stuff doesnt translate that great.
