Adult Swim announces Rick and Morty spinoff - “President Curtis”

At least they have Keith David.  Then again I’d see all of the Toonami originals incinerated if it meant Keith David coming back for that Spawn reboot eternally stuck in development hell.

Haven't we seen enough Rick and Morty as it is? Even if Keith David is getting a paycheck, which I love, the surprising thing is how long we had to wait BEFORE getting an out-and-out spinoff.

I was waiting till the final episode, but the absence of the president in season 8 has not gone unnoticed, and this would be the explanation for why. 
 

I like the president, I think he has some of the better episodes associated with him, but can he carry an entire show by himself? Eh. Most of the fun with him is him bouncing secret president stuff off Rick’s sci fi nonsense. And if Rick appears much, it’s just gonna feel more like Rick and Andre.
