DC studios announces a new swath of shows including My Adventures with Green Lantern and Starfire, while other shows and films are put on the back burner

Apparently MAWS was enough of a hit it’s getting a spiritual follow-up starring Jessica Cruz.

Also a show starring everyone’s favorite Tamaranian princess:

They got lucky with MAWS, primarily because it’s been so long since Superman has gotten his own show. They are overplaying their hand here and likely going to have a gigaflop on their hands.

They could have at least went with a different title structure so it wasn’t so blatantly obvious they were riding the MAWS coattails

I'm actually willing to hear their justification for a Green Lantern animated series styled after MAWS. At the very least, it's not the only show they decided to publicly announce today.

Also, we have what amounts to the DC Comics version of Tiny Toon Adventures, named after the popular Kenner toyline.

I love to see the MAWS universe expanding and a Green Lantern animated series is a very welcome addition. Hopefully it's not limited to Max and gets to air on TV.

Super Powers could be fun but I can't be the only one that smirked at the character (which I presume is Black Lighting) going by just Lighting. Sorry if it's not PC but Black Lightning is a way cooler sounding name and ya know... they could have gone with Superbolt. Let this one air on CN please.

Starfire getting a solo series is pretty rad but I can't help but find it bizarre that Jessica Cruz and Starfire get animated series before Wonder Woman.
