AFAIK, the 1999 work was more like OVAs... ...no wait, I'm thinking of 1990's JoJo.
PokeNirvash
You're right, the '90s Hunter x Hunter did have OVA episodes. But it also had 62 TV episodes, which were the only ones VIZ bothered to license and dub due to low sales.
KageRageX
Yeah. I put on the old one with cleaned up animation.

OwlChemist81
OK, I'll bite... Why the hell would a 10th Anniversary special air on 9/6/2006 when Toonami premiered 3/17/1997? That doesn't make a LICK of sense--it's half a year too early!

Mr. Idea Box
37 minutes ago, Otakuninja9000 said: Yep. How do you like the schedules? I hope that Thundercats airs during the 4 PM hour before Toonami after being replaced by G-Force. Likewise, I'm glad that SWAT Kats gets a third season to tie up any loose ends. I wonder how many shows can qualify for an Afternoon Adventures timeslot. Could Captain Planet feasibly air at 4:30? Would the special week of Beast Wars be an Afternoon Adventures event? Classic Batman on weekdays, and The New Batman Adventures airing as its own timeslot on Saturday Nights. That is great. Also great is the rest of the Saturday Night block, with The Justice Friends, Road Rovers, and the new season of Jonny Quest. Equal parts of WB's library and Hanna-Barbera's studio at work. Oh, and the Sunday afternoon block is no slouch, with all the classics you could want. Putting the 80s Superman series from Ruby-Spears there is good promotion for Kids WB, Birdman hasn't been adapted into a Williams Street lawyer yet, and Dynomutt & Thundarr just needed to be there. After all this, there's the 10th Anniversary lineup kicking off with a recreation of the first lineup. If that isn't good enough, there's all the premieres starting at 6. The season premiere of Teen Titans, Dial H for Hero, a Toonami Reactor premiere, a series finale, three World Premieres, a Viz Media premiere, and a 10th Anniversary lookback followed by a movie at Midnight. However, I do have some thoughts on those: Either the fifth season of Teen Titans is pushed back to commemorate the birthday, or it's actually the sixth season. Does Dial H for Hero replace Ben 10 in this timeline? Perhaps the Series Finale is Samurai Jack's conclusion, getting an extra season from Genndy's director chair. I'm not sure what the Toonami Reactor television premiere is. Maybe the 2004 Black Jack anime? I don't know. If I may theorize the World Premieres, I think the DC one would be an overdue Wonder Woman cartoon, whereas the CN one would be Powerpuff Girls Z, and the Western one could be a return to form for Space Ghost. The timeslot for Viz's next hit stumps me on what it could be. As for the special, I think 11:30 might be too late in the night to air it. The movie, on the other hand, could be anything. All in all, great lineups!
