I really hate the trend of adapting arcs/sagas into movies instead of television.

Not that I care for the Demon Slayer news since I'm not a fan, but more-so with Chainsaw Man and Made In Abyss.

Where'd you hear that? I mean, I'm sort of with you, if only because Toonami couldn't air Dawn of the Deep Soul due to spooky rights voodoo, but I saw the movie and did enjoy it. I wouldn't be surprised if the next MiA anime is a movie, since the arc the series is on right now doesn't have a lot of material to cover.

The rumor was they’re making a second season of CM and a movie but they didn’t say what kind of movie.

The same thing is happening to Spy×Family; in that case, the movie will be an original work, so I wouldn't get your hopes up... or down.
