Master-Debater131
Lockheed Martin has finished developing and testing a battle laser for the US Military. They are now handing the tech over to the Military and expect to see it deployed to the field soon. The laser itself hit 58kW during testing and is powerful enough to knock drones and missiles out of the sky. Right now anti-missile technology costs around $3M per shot, the laser can do the same job for under $1. http://www.cnbc.com/2017/03/17/lockheed-martin-completes-new-battle-laser-for-us-military.html This is pretty cool, and is a big step in laser technology. Weve been able to create powerful lasers for a while now, the problem has always been the ability to make it mobile. Lockheed seems to have figured out how to do that so these things are going to start being attached to trucks and deployed to the battlefield.
