I have officially bolted 62 horepowers to a golf cart

which originally came with just 12 horsepowers.

For those dirtbike/ATV/snowmobile/two-stroke gurus, I went from a 230cc low compression single-cylinder engine to a 540cc high compression twin-cylinder engine.

The engine came from a snowmobile capable of about 90mph flat-out. My golf cart did a whopping 26.

Engine bolted to the golf cart's swingarm section of frame:

Stupid Canadians trying to get hurt by a 90mph SRV 540...:

Cool.

Is there much of a weight difference in the engines? Will the swing arm need reinforced any?

I think the 540 weighs about 80 pounds and the original engine weighed about 50... nothing major enough for me to worry about. :D if bolts break or start coming loose, then I'll have a buddy of mine weld up the mounting brackets and some support braces on it.

I'd weld it up, but my welding is NOT very good looking. :D
