So, this guy built a replica Warthog from Halo

This is just cool. Things like this are what YouTube should be about, just everyday people doing awesome things and then making a video.

Kinda seems like something Rogue might do.

I kinda want one now.

Jeep needs to get on this. Hire the guy to do the design work. It would totally sell.

Well just by looking at the pic before I watch the video, I can tell it's GM based because both of those axles are Gm Corporate 10-bolt, i.e. the weakest in all the land. Plus they're not trussed or gusseted anywhere. So while it looks badass, don't expect it to do any better than a new Wrangler Sport off-road

Now Ima watch this XD

Oh yeah, I watched and got distracted.

SO. while the body of it looks cool, it's 100% for show. Those tusks on the front for example should have been made from a solid hunk of steel since they look like they should be tow hooks. Also those axles need to go... needs some Dana 60's... tie that in with the suspension. Why air bags? He has an okay setup to run coilovers. Also needs another 2" of lift and 3" of tire. Powertrain wise... he might be getting 250 horses out of that smallblock but come on.

My whole deal with it is, if you're gonna make a Warthog... a vehicle of war, you need to make it able to withstand a war. Underneath it's just a plain-jane Chevy K10 with a decent suspension.

I also don't understand why he used a Ford Ranger steering column, especially one with *that* wheel. At least throw a GT Grant wheel on there or something. My only guess would be because he wanted to have cruise control and the Ford columns are easy to wire. But still ANY OTHER 90's steering wheel from Ford is better looking.
